OK, so I really want to grow shrooms because paying 35 dollars for a fucking eight is ridiculous. and I was wondering if it is possible to grow shrooms in your closet without anyone else living in the house, (maybe parents or room mate) finding out about them. And if not are there ways to grow shrooms outside and shit.

I recall other sites too that sold peyote cacti kits as well. As for secrecy, there's always hiding it right in front of them. Tell them you bought a mushroom kit for fun and grow it right out in the open, just like saying that that cannabis plant is a false aralia. If you take that approach, start growing a flower or something before hand so it looks like you've taken an interest in growing plants. That's what I did

AHHHHHHHH kill yourself, you don't 'grow' shrooms no not possible at all, there magic spores of GODLY ness.
shroomery.org can help you get started cultivating your own shrooms, a guide in there describing starting from spore print, to having huge shrooms, to getting more prints. even a useful "high guide" check it out. WEEED AWAY!
You can cultivate them under your bed in a vermiculture but once they start to sprout they will need light. You could grow several in a pop bottle on your desk or something as long as your room is messy and your parents wont examine everything in it you should be able to get a way with a dirty looking pop bottle.

To get the spore syringe you need to get a spore print and put some water on it in a cup and what not (there is more to the process than that) then soak it up with a syring. EVERYTHING must be sterile. Then once you get the vermiculture ready you can transplant it into a sterile popbottle of vermite and stuff.
Now thats just a basic idea of it and there's more to doing it than that but thats the jest of it and like i said, if they're not going to search your room it should be fine.

do you have any room in your house that has a window and your parents dont go in? just hide the jars in a warm place, like 85 degrees when you first inoculate, then when mycelium (white stuff) has covered the cakes dump them in a fruiting chamber in front of said window. fruiting chamber = big clear box, drill lots of holes in it, fill with perlite, fill with water, dump cakes. mist every now and then.

Well mushrooms are fungi and fungi are heterotrophs. They don't require photosynthesis for energy so they wont require sunlight. Remember, many fungi live in caves. But I think its still good for some light.. You can leave them under your bed until you know your parents wont be around and put it on your shelf. Besides, how often do they enter your room?

I'd say at least 2 to 3 times a day but yeah that's a pretty good plan except I don't know where I can hide a fruiting chamber, because they are usually pretty damn big.

Putting them on the roof could work. It would depend on the climate you life in. The thing is you don't want the jar to build up to much condensation, and you also don't want it to get too cold/warm. Now even though mushrooms normally grow outside and even on roofs, they don't normally grow inside of glass containers. So like I said, depending on the climate, you may be able to put them on the roof during the good part of the day, and under your bed at night.
I live in the first floor of a three story apartment complex so thats also out of the question. In all honesty im starting to lose hope for this idea.

Do that instead. Tell your parents you want to make your room look nicer by growing flowers. You would need to do some research into how to do them, but i know a guy who did this. I do know that commercially grown ones have pesticides on them so you can't do them, but you can buy non-pesticide laced seeds online. That's about all i know about these.
The LSA high isn't even comparable to a muchroom high though. It will work but if you're a dude your parents may ask questions. I'd still go with finding more ways to hide the mushrooms during the day. It can be too hard you can pretty much stick them anywhere.

I know this is an old post but I thought I would throw it out there anyway.
Shrooms do not need much light to bud. They do not get there food from photosynthesis. The light just lets them know its time to flower*grow**bud* or whatever you want to call it. You can hook up a couple led lights inside a rubbermaid container. That is all they need. Also if you usually keep a clean room maybe step up some air freshener or something because they do give off an odor due to them having to have a high humidity. Not a bad or overpowering odor just an unusual odor that can make someone suspicious.
You can make a completely consealed container that you can check in on that has your temp gauge humidity gauge etc inside so it looks like a storage tote in the closet.

Also, if you wanna be stealthy, go get/find/dumpster dive an old CPU - the bigger the better. Also, it just crossed my mind that you could use a guitar amp or other speaker cabinet for this too. Take your old computer or speaker and make it lightproof with duct tape or whatever, so light won't escape and get you busted. Then just hook up a simple low-temp led light, and you're good. This is a stealth grow box. I got this idea from the old Overgrow forums.
You can always say someone gave you an old CPU that you're using for parts/modding, etc. Maybe you could use two small clear plastic boxes, one atop the other. You know, like the kind you might get from a pet store for carrying a mouse, tarantula or gecko. These usually have a ventilated top, as well. You might also want to use a heating pad in your box. Put it on a low setting, just to keep the temp a bit warmer than room temperature. A small 9-12V computer fan will work well to keep the humidity in check.
When I was making a box for weed years ago, I just took a fan out of a broken CPU and wired it to a 9 volt DC adapter from an old appliance. I put it inside a cardboard Pringles tube with fabric softner sheets stuffed into it. Obviously it didn't work to cover up the smell of flowering, but it did work for about the first 4 weeks. It would probably cover up the dank, earthy smell of your shrooms, though.
Edit: You might be able to stack two of these in a CPU or speaker, which will give you a better yield.

Plug it in and fuck with it at night, when everyone is sleeping, or when no one is home.
